Who is responsible. Samar Singh Kohli (sole trader) is the controller of personal data collected on this website. ABN: 77 800 402 940. Contact: privacy@samarkohli.com.
What we collect. Only what you type into a form: your name, email address, mobile number (where asked), city, and the details of any enquiry. We also record the page you used and the time. The Discipline Score is calculated in your browser and your answers are not sent to us unless you choose to send them.
Why, and our legal basis.
- To reply to your enquiry or booking request: legitimate interests, and steps you ask us to take.
- To send a download, webinar details or the first-access list you asked for: your consent.
- To send news, offers and event notices: your consent, given by ticking the box on the form. This is separate from any other request.
- To keep the site secure and stop spam: legitimate interests.
Email, text and calls. We email you only if you opted in. We contact you by phone, text or WhatsApp about offers only if you gave a number and agreed to that. Every email has an unsubscribe link. Tell us at privacy@samarkohli.com and we stop.
Accounts and the public wall (The Record). If you create an account we store your email address, display name, city, your discipline, your reminder settings and your daily check-ins. Your display name, city, discipline and streak are shown publicly on the wall only if you tick the box that says so. Your email is never shown. You can delete your account and every check-in from your dashboard at any time. Do not put personal details of other people in your discipline text.
The Discipline Score board. The Discipline Score runs in your browser. If you add your first name and tick the box to show it on the public board, we store that name, your score and your level, and show them publicly. No email address is stored with it. These are self-checks, not verified measures. Ask privacy@samarkohli.com and we remove your entry.
Who handles your data for us. Our website host (Vercel), our form delivery service (Web3Forms), our account and database provider (Supabase), our email sender (Resend), our spam-check provider (Cloudflare Turnstile) and, when connected, our newsletter platform. They act on our instructions. Some are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that applies we rely on approved transfer safeguards.
How long we keep it. Enquiries for up to two years. Marketing contacts until you unsubscribe, then only a suppression record so we do not email you again.
Your rights. You can ask to see, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw consent at any time. Write to privacy@samarkohli.com. If you are in the UK or EU you can complain to your data protection authority, for the UK the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). If you are in Australia you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au). We handle personal data in line with the UK GDPR and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Children. This site is not for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Cookies and analytics. This site sets no advertising cookies. We use cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics to count visits, which does not identify you. If you sign in to The Record, a sign-in token is stored in your browser so you stay signed in. If that changes we will ask first.
Changes. We will update this page if our practices change and show the date of the latest version.
